What is Rekiddle?

Rekiddle is a resale platform for premium baby gear, helping families save time and money while protecting the planet. Rekiddle keeps baby gear in use and out of landfill by making secondhand shopping safe, simple, and convenient for families. By removing the trade-offs of quality, safety, and trust, we help parents embrace resale as the default choice, reducing waste, saving money and cutting the carbon footprint of early childhood.

We sell preloved baby gear, either on behalf of families who consign their items with us or from stock that Rekiddle owns directly. Whether consigned or owned, every item is carefully inspected, cleaned, and graded before sale. All products are sold “as described” based on their condition.

How does it work?

Rekiddle is a consignment store specialising in preloved and open-box baby gear. Families send us items they no longer need, and we take care of the rest - from inspection and cleaning, to safe storage and delivery to your doorstep.

We carefully check every item against safety recall information, inspect it for quality, and sanitise it before it goes on sale. That way, you get the convenience of shopping secondhand with the peace of mind that each product has been through our quality process.

Are products safe to use?

We take reasonable steps to check safety, including looking at public recall lists, and we don’t knowingly list recalled products. But because these are pre-owned goods, we can’t guarantee they are completely free from defects.

It’s important that you:

  • Read and follow the original manufacturer’s instructions,
  • Make sure the product is suitable for your child’s age/weight, and
  • Check for any relevant safety notices.

Who am I buying from, and how does payment work?

Rekiddle is a resale platform that helps both individual sellers and Rekiddle itself sell pre-owned items. Some inventory is owned by third-party sellers, while some is owned and sold directly by Rekiddle.

When you purchase an item from a third-party seller, Rekiddle acts as a commercial agent on their behalf. This means we are authorised to conclude the sale and collect payment for the seller. Your payment to Rekiddle is treated as full payment to the seller - they don’t need to invoice or collect payment from you separately.

To protect both buyers and sellers, Rekiddle holds funds for 14 days after your order is received by the customer, in line with our return policy. If no return is initiated, the seller receives their earnings. For Rekiddle-owned inventory, your purchase is processed directly by us.

How do you prepare the products?

Every item we receive goes through a multi-step preparation process:

  • Initial inspection – we check for visible signs of damage, missing parts, or excessive wear.
  • Basic functionality and completeness check – where possible, we follow manufacturer guidance to confirm that key components are present and that the item appears to function as intended.
  • Cleaning – items are cleaned and ready for use.
  • Condition grading – any imperfections are noted in the product description, and photos provide a clear reference so you know exactly what you’re buying.

We take reasonable steps to ensure items are functional and accurately described before they are listed. However, as all products are pre-owned, they may show signs of use, and we cannot guarantee they are free from every defect or suitable for your particular needs.

What accessories and parts are included with each item?

All accessories and parts supplied with an item are shown in the product photos — the photos are your reference for exactly what you'll receive. We also do our best to list included items in the condition notes.

How do I know what condition the item is in?

We grade each item based on the definitions below. Any imperfections are clearly outlined in the product condition notes in the product description, and accompanying images provide a visual reference.

Open Box: The Product has never been used and comes with its original packaging with all parts included. The box has been opened, and there may be damage to it. Typically, these items are returns or display models.

Like New: The used Product shows minimal signs of use but will not have the original packaging. All parts are included. Any imperfections are minor, such as scuffs or scratches, and are not visible from a distance. Fabric may be creased from washing but is otherwise in perfect condition.

Gently Used: The used Product may have visible signs of use, such as scratches, loose threads or faded fabric. It will also have superficial marks but is otherwise undamaged and in perfect working order. The condition notes list the most significant imperfections or missing items.

What if my product is faulty or unsafe?

If your item turns out to be faulty, damaged or misdescribed, you have the right to a refund, repair or replacement under UK law.

This applies even if it’s secondhand. Please contact us right away at hello@rekiddle.com if you have a concern.

Do you offer a product warranty?

We do not offer this at the moment. However, this may change. Please join our mailing list for the latest updates.

What happens if I purchase an item that is later recalled?

We take recalls seriously. Before listing, we check items against publicly available recall information and we do not knowingly sell recalled products. However, sometimes a recall may be issued after your purchase.

If that happens, here’s what you can expect:

  • We’ll use reasonable efforts to notify you as soon as we become aware of the recall.
  • You should stop using the product immediately and follow the manufacturer’s recall instructions (for example: returning it to the brand, obtaining a repair kit, or disposing of it safely).
  • If the recall happens within our standard returns window, you may return the item to us for a refund.
  • If the recall happens after the returns window, compensation is generally handled through the manufacturer’s recall process, not through Rekiddle.

Your child’s safety comes first, so we strongly recommend registering your product with the original manufacturer (where possible) to ensure you receive recall alerts directly.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?

We deliver everywhere in the UK, including Northern Ireland.

How is delivery handled?

Items may arrive partially disassembled (for safer shipping). We follow the manufacturer’s instructions when disassembling.


It’s your responsibility to assemble the product safely and correctly using the original instructions.

Risk passes to you once the item is delivered, and ownership passes once you’ve paid in full.

What shipping options do you offer?

We offer Standard delivery (2–4 business days). Order by 3pm and we'll dispatch the same day.

What is the cost of delivery?

We will deliver your order within 2-4 days. The delivery cost will be calculated at Checkout based on the parcel's size and weight (please see guidance below).

Weekday Delivery (Monday-Friday, cut-off at 15:00)

  • Small - £5.95
  • Medium - £7.95
  • Large - £11.95

How do I change the delivery address for an order?

Unfortunately, you cannot change the delivery address once an order is placed. However, in some cases, we can cancel your order so you can place a new one. Please email us immediately at hello@rekiddle.com with your order number, and we will prioritise your request.

What happens if I’m not in for my delivery?

If you won’t be home for your delivery, our courier may attempt to deliver the package to your neighbour. Please get in touch with the courier directly if you want them to deliver to a preferred neighbour or leave the package in a safe place at your property.

What if something goes wrong with delivery?

We’ll always do our best to get your order to you on time. Sometimes, things beyond our control (like courier delays, strikes, bad weather) can cause disruption. We can’t be held responsible for delays outside our control.

Cancellation & Returns

Can I cancel my order?

Cancellation is possible on orders not yet fulfilled. Please email us immediately at hello@rekiddle.com.

Do you accept returns?

We want you to feel completely confident buying with us. If something isn't right, we're here to help.

You have 14 days from delivery to start a return - no questions asked.

  • Faulty or misdescribed items: we'll cover the return shipping at no cost to you. Just drop us a message at hello@rekiddle.com and we'll take it from there.
  • Change of mind: we'll arrange the return courier and send you a prepaid label — just return shipping is deducted from your refund at our standard rates: £5.95 (regular), £7.95 (medium), or £10.95 (large).

For larger items like prams or cots, we may need to arrange a courier collection - we'll reach out if that's the case.

Your refund covers the original purchase price plus standard delivery, issued within 14 days of us receiving the item back. If you paid for next-day delivery, the upgrade portion isn't refundable.

One small ask - please hold onto the original packaging and return items in the same condition you received them.
